Alessandro Michele has officially stepped down as the creative director of Gucci after close to eight years at the iconic fashion brand that saw him both revive and transform the Italian fashion brand.
“The road that Gucci and Alessandro walked together over the past years is unique and will remain as an outstanding moment in the history of the House… His passion, his imagination, his ingenuity and his culture put Gucci center stage, where its place is” CEO, François-Henri Pinault said in an official statement.
Michele, 49, was named among Time magazine’s 100 most influential people back in 2017.
